National Premature Baby Day at Geisinger

We were honored to be invited back to Geisinger's NICU as "graduates" for National Premature Baby Day. The president of the March of Dimes was there which was a big deal. What was very exciting was the fact that ''our preemies'' were part of a campaign to promote all of the good that their NICU is doing. We were also interviewed by 2 local newspapers and are happy to have those now for the boys to see years from now. Channel 16 news interviewed us and we were able to share our story that way as well. A few people at the Steamtown Mall recognized us a few days later!! Still, the best part of all was being able to bring the boys back again this year to thank all of the physicians who gave us our babies back..... that is as best as you can thank someone for saving your childs' life......Again a mix of pictures from this year and last.....xo

I was so happy to be a part of this important day, too. My heart was so very full as I watched our babies with their Mommy and Daddy.........a very different picture than the months that were spent in NICU residence.

These little monkeys made themselves a part of the celebration, and just seemed to sense that they were two of the most important reasons that this day was planned......

I can't believe how big the boys are growing........no tiny babies live here anymore! :)

Thank you so much and Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Thank you so much for sharing your story with the world in honor of the offical opening of NICU Family Support. Your family has had a far reaching impact on educating people about prematurity issues. I appreciate the emotional toll that telling and retelling has on you and am very grateful you are willing to do it anyway. Blessings to you all! Cindy

Hi Melissa!
What a great article!! I can't believe how far they have come! I am sure you can't either! Isn't it just the best job in the whole world?
Hope all is well. Please give those boys a big hug and kiss from their little friend, Cecelia.
See you soon!
Love,
